Mike Music has been playing Country Swing, Country and Bluegrass for over 40 years.

 Mark Hill started playing Southern Rock and Country around 35 years ago.

 The two met at a bluegrass jam in Central Oklahoma 12 years ago. They soon became good friends and discovered that they had a lot in common musically and decided to put their talents to good use.

 "Blue Dirt Project" was born in 2021.

In the beginning their music was a mix of Bluegrass and Red Dirt genres which morphed into a distinct sound that is a culmination of their past musical journeys.

 Steve Gowan came on board in 2022 as well as James Morris. Steve played Southern Rock and Country Rock for over 30 years. 

James Morris has played in jazz ensembles, Rock and even a few musicals for over 20 years.

 as a whole their sound just keeps getting better.
